Court Admissions
After graduation from the Villanova University School of Law in 1973, in suburban Philadelphia, Mr. Hanna was first admitted to the practice of law in the State of Pennsylvania, where he worked for nearly three years as an Assistant District Attorney with the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. Mr. Hanna was appointed Coordinator of the Major Crimes Tactical Unit (MCTU).
In 1976, the United States Department of Justice offered Mr. Hanna a position at Main Justice Headquarters in Washington, D.C., with the Internal Security Section of the Criminal Division, where he served through 1977. The Section enforced "Terrorism" Statutes, and other laws against Espionage, Sabotage of Government Installations, and violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
With the 1977 initiation of "UNIRAC", a nationwide investigation of corruption, extortion and fraud at our nation's ports, Mr. Hanna was offered a transfer (to Miami, Florida) and promotion to the position of "Special Attorney" with the Miami Strike Force of the Justice Department's Organized Crime and Racketeering Section.
On Station in Miami, Mr. Hanna was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1978, and has worked and lived in South Florida since that time. He has, however, also represented clients in other states, appearing before the court as required by the best interests of his clients. Currently, Mr. Hanna is also licensed to practice as an attorney and counselor at law before the following courts:
